They have upgraded beautifully, I felt safe there travelling on my own.staff were so attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. Wasn’t expecting the attendant to come out and ask to carry my bags or offer to park my car.
Probably the walk to get my car in the morning from the Grote street U parking 🅿️ this was the only thing to fault

Fantastic location right in the CBD and right opposite the tram stop. We were heading to the Entertainment Centre so how perfect to jump on and off a free tram that went right to our destinations. Also made use of the fact we were so close to the Central market and Gouger Street.
A downfall of being right in the CBD, sirens at night time. Being from the country this a noise my ears are not used to at night time so unfortunately my sleep was interrupted, but overall, great hotel

Staff at check‑in were neither welcoming nor helpful. The showers were lukewarm, and we were advised that all three rooms had been upgraded. On arrival, two rooms overlooked Victoria Square, while the third faced a construction site, and none of the rooms were upgraded as promised.
We were also overcharged for each night’s accommodation compared with the booked and quoted rate on bookings.com, as well as for the holding deposits. When this was raised, we were told the issue had been “fixed”, but informed that because the overcharge was processed as part of the accommodation & holding deposit, the excess funds could not be released until check‑out. We were advised they were unable to separate the overcharge from the correct amount that should have been applied.
