Convenient location to major site, shopping, restaurants, and train station. Terrific, very helpful staff. Delicious authentic Japanese breakfast (must be reserved two days in advance).

We had a wonderful stay at Kaminarimon Ryokan. Our room was very comfortable even for three adults, and the entire property was exceptionally clean, organized, and well maintained.
The location is also fantastic. It is right next to Kaminarimon Gate, in the heart of Asakusa, very close to Senso-ji Temple. The area is full of life during the day, with shops, cafés and people everywhere, and in the evening there are plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy. At the same time, it still manages to feel calm and pleasant, which made it a great place to stay.
The staff were always warm, kind, and helpful. Everyone we spoke with was able to communicate in English, which made everything very easy, and one of the gentlemen at reception even spoke Spanish, our native language.
We are especially grateful to the two women at reception who helped us find a good and reasonably priced clinic when my father had a temporary health issue during our stay. Their support and kindness meant a lot to us.
If I return to Tokyo someday, I would not hesitate to stay at Kaminarimon Ryokan again. Highly recommended.

The staff were wonderful. The location is great for a first time visit to Tokyo. The Japanese breakfast was amazing - they even made a special vegan one for my partner. Both were delicious!
Nothing. It will be the highlight of our trip.

The location is superb. The room was quite big and the amenities plenty
Room 405 has a inch gap in the blackout that is quite annoying at surnrise
