The location was excellent less than a five minute walk to Paddington station. lots of food and drink places nearby and a bus stop for the 23 bus at the end of the road that goes straight through the whole of the West end to the aldwych. Colin the owner was working on the reception desk and it was a wonderful welcome full of information and guidance a lovely personal touch. Very good free Wi-Fi and there was a safe in the room and a fridge.
The room was very small but for the price and for only a one-night stop it was fine although, if I was going to stay longer I would have wanted a larger room. The historic building of the hotel was unfortunately not reflected in the design of the bedroom so in that respect it was not an attractive room and the ensuite bathroom was a plastic pod- like unit that had been put into the corner of the room so it was like stepping from an old house into a space age pod.
I was on the raised ground floor but I could still feel vibration and noise from the tube trains that must have been very close underground. Although it was audible, it was something that was quite easy to get used to and did not disturb my sleep.

Location was convenient to Paddington Station and nearby places to eat. There was a nice park close to the hotel. The staff were friendly and so helpful.
The room was REALLY small. Would have been great for one person. Since so close to Paddington, you could hear the trains through out the evening.

Size of family room was really fine, room was clean, beds comfortable. Nice people at reception. Great location because of close railway station and underground, shops and restaurants around. We were happy with this hotel and can recommend.
Our family room was in basement and we heard when trains or something were riding underground. We heard it even feel it. It stopped ride around midnight or +-1 a.m. it wasn't no problem for us, we were ok with it (three adult friends) but I am not sure if it would be ok for little kids for example. Not if they have weak sleeping...
