Fantastic hotel in a fantastic location, with wonderfully comfortable beds and super-friendly staff.
The rooms had some minor wear and tear on the wallpaper, but it wasn’t bothersome.

Lovely converted Palazzo in the middle of the Budapest University district. We loved the room and the breakfast was world class. Very nice staff as well.
We really loved everything.

Don't usually eat breakfast but this is the one place I look forward to that meal. And like that the hotel is in a building with a history in a quiet area and away from the tourist hordes. But not at all too far. Pleasant short walk to an airport bus stop, Metro station and other public transit, restaurants, etc.
Last year I stayed at this hotel and had such an extremely positive experience (room, staff, the works) that I returned this year. The reception staff was not very engaging, had a small room with some odd sounds and a cold shower the first night. The rest of the stay at least the water temperature got to warm.....and one night even hot water appeared. The breakfast was still super and the staff down there was extremely pleasant but was a tad much...as in one pair chatting too loudly and the last morning excessive mother hen scurrying about by another (and once a fellow who was just right--pleasant und unobtrusive).

Good location (less than 10 mins walk from airport bus, easy walk to main nightlife area and the river). Friendly staff with excellent English. Comfortable bed. Good value.
This would have been very quiet and an ideal stay, but you can't switch off the air conditioning fan above the bed, despite the room having individual controls. Reception said it's centrally controlled. So I did not sleep well because of this constant noise (even with earplugs), which spoiled my visit to Budapest.
