It was a Boutique Hotel with the facilities of a larger one. All day restaurant lovely staff, great pool and well appointed rooms.

The hotel overall is beautiful, the staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast is great, especially the omelette / egg making station, and the daytime food served at the same restaurant is also delicious. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained.
In all rooms, there is a small step down to the bathroom, about 5 cm / 2-3 inches. For me, it was more of a small annoyance that I kept stubbing my toe, but for a disabled person or an elderly person, it might be an actual problem.
Not exactly a dislike, but the location is a mixed bag, depending on your preferences and what you want to do. It is close to some gorgeous temples, and the river, and a market, but it is very far from downtown and some of the more touristy areas that are "must see" in Bangkok.

Location, food, pool and comfy beds
Staff didn’t reply to my request on the booking at all. The didn’t really communicate with us at all during our staff.

Returning guest. Location is magical. The theme and the architecture very interesting. Overall good taste. Breakfast is good.
The staff is not very interested. Not rude at all... but screwed on those mobile phones. Staff at petrol stations and McDonald's seem more motivated.
Returning guest because of the property and the concept, but this might have been the last time.

"The ovation was great - set back from the hustle and bustle but near the river."
