Great location - right off the highway - easy off and easy on in the morning. There is a gas station across the street, so you can fill up before you hit the road again. Mexican food restaurant next door had decent food and was an easy walk. Perfect setup for an overnight stay on a long road trip. The bed is comfy, and the towels are clean.
The AC in the room is full of mold. So, as soon as you turn it on (which you must in Texas in September), the room fills with mold. I would clean the HVAC unit and run it on fan when the room isn't occupied. But this isn't the only roadside inn with this problem. My partner and I are allergic to mold, so we take Zyrtec before bed and Flonase in the morning. You'll blow your nose for an hour or so after you wake up and get on the road, but then you'll be fine. Just come prepared.

King room was very large and the location was good. Room was clean.
Staff/owners seemed like they really didn't care much. King room was large and clean but there wasn't really enough light in it. The entry light didn't work so I went down to get a light bulb and the young man at the desk said he'd tell the maintenance man in the morning.I said we're only here for tonight (I mean he had just checked us in) so I'd like a light bulb. He was chatting on the phone but nice about getting a new bulb...which didn't work either. The fixture was old and should have been replaced. It's the entry light so if it doesn't work you have to enter a completely dark room and find another light. Room was dark without it.
The worst thing though was the incredibly noisy AC. Every time it cycled on it made a loud racket.
The next morning we got to breakfast probably 40 minutes after it started and there was NOTHING left in the hot containers.Not a crumb of biscuits, eggs, etc and the staff came in and just shrugged. I guess you snooze you lose. She did go over and turn on the tv as they had never turned it on. The whole attitude wasn't rude, just more like they just didn't care. It was odd. Property could be so much better.
