It was my first time visiting New York City, and I would definitely recommend Leo House as a place where you can totally rest after spending the whole day in such a vibrant city! As a solo female traveller, I would mention that the location is great and feels completely safe. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and are always happy to help and answer any of your questions. I can especially highlight the cleanliness, very comfortable bed, bathroom facilities (the shower gel scent was absolutely fantastic :)) and soundproofing. Also, there was a nice garden on the ground floor, so I spent a lot of time there because the weather during my stay was quite warm.
The only downside was that sometimes I could hear doors slamming quite loudly early in the morning, which occasionally woke me up earlier than planned. However, I think this may depend on the neighbours on your floor.

The breakfast and bedroom
The bathroom need to be repaired : the bathtub has old enamel and the toilet needs a lid

Good location. Delicious breakfast. Affordable rooms with private bathroom, towels and free toiletries.
The room was pretty run down. There was no fan and the AC wasn’t on even though it was 85º. You get what you pay for.
