Most beautiful and lush motel I’ve been to. Room was spacious

The property was tucked away in a residential community. Near parks, off the freeway and not to much foot traffic during my weekend stay.
The price was extremely high. Given the market for summer rates. Parking was ok, however we were out and about during the day and returned early evening.

(+) Centralized location
(+) The front desk person/manager (Nick) was receptive to refunding my unused night* (spent one night on property)
(-) The room I was given was directly facing Hwy 5, so it was very loud and difficult to sleep at night
(-) The room also smelled very strange, like stagnant/old/musty, similar to an old library. The a/c didn't help much because it seemed to exacerbate the odor, yet
Ended up just staying one night (out of two) because it was just too noisy and the room smelled odd. To be fair, I have stayed and continue to stay at many Motel 6's (solid value and pet friendly) and fortunately, I haven't encountered issues like this from previous experiences- it could've just been that room I was assigned?
