We stayed in a suite which had a fabulous view across the river to New Jersey and for a family of 4 was very spacious for New York. The staff at the hotel were incredible and couldn't do enough for us which was brilliant and made up for the lack of mod cons at the hotel
The hotel could do with a little reno to bring it up to the standard you'd expect for a hotel of this price - our closet doors wouldn't close properly, the bathrooms need an upgrade and things like usb or usb ports should be added by the bed.

Location perfect
Elevators are a disaster, you can’t plan for anything as you sometimes have to wait for 15 minutes to get to or from your room. It’s a continuous irritation, once missed breakfast and had to run out to a meeting without a coffee

An exceptional hotel with an excellent location; the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and every request of ours was handled perfectly. Truly one of the best hotels we have ever visited—highly recommended.
At the front desk, we were assisted by a staff member named Mohendra, who provided excellent service; we asked to check into our room early due to our very early arrival and to check out late because of a night flight, and every request was met perfectly and with a smile.
The only criticism regarding the hotel concerned the elevators; there is a long wait for an elevator to arrive, as the hotel has many floors.

Spacious rooms and good location in SoHo
Elevators were a disaster, the wait was insane for the number of elevators. They need to be programmed differently, it is not the Hilton on midtown to be that busy.
The TV was not connecting to my iOS device which is unacceptable for the amount of money I paid. The hotel appeals to people who think they need to spend a lot of money to stay in manhattan but is lacking the charm of the peninsula or the ritz. The rooftop is a joke.
