Had to make 3 calls to housekeeping to get our room made up.

The look of the hotel
Poor lighting in the rooms

The room was good as expected. The staff was great and very responsive to our requests. The location was a real plus as we had easy access to the Biltmore and neighboring sites. I also really liked the policy of offering housekeeping on a "as-needed" basis.
The access to the property is a bit of a challenge because of the aftermath of the storm, combined with the current construction at the main road.

The lobby was beautiful, the restaurant was good, staff nice
The first room we were put in was horrible, it was 2 buildings down from the main lobby building , it was like a total different hotel, had to drive there, dark and dingy, the entrance was dark and a stairwell that was scary looking. The room was on the first floor and the sliding glass doors were right on the parking lot. Did not feel safe in that room as I was traveling with my daughters. I did request another room and they did switch our room to the main lobby building and it was a much better location.
