The beds were comfortable. Despite other review my room was pretty clean I was happy about that.
Outdated elevator, but it did its job. I disliked the most the fact that after I checked out my security deposit went from $100 to an additional charge of $56.66. I had to call to ask for my invoice. And that is when I saw it went from $100 to $156.66. They could have told me when I tapped my card for the deposit payment. Just seems a little shady to me.

Excellent service, great location, great price
It might look unappealing from the outside because of the location and ocasional people outside but that is a prime San Francisco experience if you mind your business and keep your distance you have nothing to worry about

Location, although the street it is on sometimes had several homeless people near the hotel.
The Hotel is in need of full refurbishment.
The bedroom window would not close properly making the bedroom cold and there was no heating available.
The hot water also failed during our stay.
The carpets throughout were all old and tatty and in need of replacement.
The breakfast menu was very limited and did not include beverages.
Does not deserve the 4 star rating the hotel claims to have, closer to 1/2 star realistically.
