Clarion Inn & Suites Miami International Airport

The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and the cost was very reasonable for the area.

The well stocked shop with snacks was nice - but the cost was higher than the airport! The shuttle service in the morning was as you'd expect. On time driver who was pleasant and helped with the bags - but the night before was a nightmare! I stood watching for the Clarion shuttle for over half an hour watching all the other hotel shuttles come and go (sometimes more than once). When I spotted the Clarion shuttle I was standing on the curb and waived as instructed. The driver didn't slow or stop and seemed only to be paying attention to getting around the other shuttle that was stopped. The other shuttle driver noticed me and honked to get the Clarion driver's attention - but he didn't stop. I called the hotel and was originally told it would be 35 minutes, then they said someone would be there in 10. More like 25. This time I practically jumped off the curb to flag down the driver. He didn't say hello and he didn't move to help with the bags. He just watched me struggle to load my bags into the main part of the shuttle (when they are normally stowed in the back). I mentioned it to reception, but the response was such that I didn't feel anything would be done. After traveling for over 24 hours and standing on an injured leg to be certain I was in a spot where I could flag down the driver - the experience the night of my arrival was less than ideal. All the other hotels either stopped or slowed to a crawl (one even honking to make sure he had everyone's attention and didn't miss a passenger).

The size of the room

The fact that you have to pay another deposit just because you booked another day through the booking app instead of with them that is just ridiculous and unexpected. Also on the day that I checked in, I very specifically ask the guy is there a side door? And he’s like yes yes yes like three different times and nodded his head and even pointed towards where it would be. In the end There was no side door. Which is a huge inconvenience not everybody wants to see the front desk people every time you come in and out.
