The room was clean and comfortable. Rooms in the centre of a major city are never cheap, and, I think, Rex beat the hell outta the alternatives. The music downstairs was never obnoxious, too loud, or too long into the night. It was a nice soundtrack before tucking in. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Location Location Location!
Well, again, city centre hotels are always too expensive. So, is the room more expensive than what one would hope for, sure. But, again, if you want cheaper in this location, you have to settle for less safe and less clean. I felt safe in the area, the room was clean, and I felt that if I had anything I needed to address, staff would have attended to it. So no complaints.

The staff was very friendly and the location was great - walkable distance to almost every important tourist attraction.
The hotel has a pub at the ground floor that has live jazz shows almost every night - free for hotel clients. We went there one time and it was a great experience, would recommend it.
The furniture in the room is quite old, but we expected that. Overall, it was a great deal and would come back.
