Good location close to multiple transit stations and highly walkable to cafes which was why we chose this spot. The area felt reasonably safe and peaceful at night. The hosts provided towels, shampoo/conditioner, and body wash. Plenty of mugs and a water heater to use. There is laundry and a dishwasher we can use. Beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows we could stack to the desired height. Wifi worked fine.
There was still trash left in the trash can when we arrived. I messaged the hosts telling them it was full of trash and to come get it, and I got a reply to "tell us when it becomes full and us will send our employee". I replied repeating myself, and they never sent anyone to come get it. We tied up the bag and left it in the closet near the entrance when we checked out.
Also when we arrived, the towels were damp and there was a leftover soaked towel in the laundry area. I'm not sure that was supposed to be there.
The home also has a poorly fitted bathroom door that you have to force closed and makes a loud bang each time.
The second bedroom clearly is an office that they squeezed a bed into, so there isn't a nightstand you can use if you want to place a phone or a cup of water.
We're across the street from a dog park which seems to have dogs playing at all hours of the night. Prepare to hear lots of barking if you're a light sleeper. We also have some noisy neighbors who make loud banging sounds. There are some party folks outside on weekends too
Most frustrating was the parking situation. The description says there is free parking in front of the unit from 10pm until 9am. That is untrue, you WILL get ticketed if you are there on a weekday between 7am and 9am. Also, you will not be able to pay for more than 3 hours at a time. You have to leave and find other places to park. The area behind the unit is also not available for paid parking, it is only for the guests at the hotel. Attempting to park there and pay is impossible, it just takes us to an error page. So, you have to find other arrangements. We tried the EZ Park one block north in a sketchy area for overnight parking and got ticketed because we were about 20 minutes late getting to our car one day. We ended up having to park all the way down in the park and ride in richmond and take transit back.
