I liked the location and the onsite restaurant was lovely, with a great range of gluten free meals!
There was no kettle in the twin room we booked but there was drink making facilities. There was no shower gel. The curtains were poorly fitted. However we were able to check in on arrival at 1:30 which helped!

The Hotel is in a good location, there is an extensive bar area. There was a good shower with hot water. By our second day the room was warm enough for us. There was no problem with the comfort of the bed.
The room was cold when we arrived, the towel rail in the bathroom did not work. We could not get wi-fi in our room only if we stood outside the room. There was no topping up of supplies in the room for the second day. The meal we had in the bar/restaurant arrived on the tepid side, it appeared to us that the chef had prepared it hot but it had been left standing before being delivered to us. We felt that like many hotels there are staffing issues especially after being hit so badly by the Labour government taxes. The owner did give us a bottle of wine as an apology for the bathroom radiator not working. The issues I highlight could easily be sorted out and other travellers may get a better experience.
