Pleasantly different from a typical chain hotel. The location was ideal for a weekend sporting event I was competing in. It provided a haven of comfort from some foul weather on the Saturday and a great breakfast before heading out for a run on the Sunday. Bedrooms were very pleasant; nice idea having Classic FM playing on the radio when we arrived. Lovely view of the garden from the dining area.
The bar bill for a G&T and a small, zero alcohol lager seemed expensive.

Perfect location for walks without having to drive. Comfortable, clean room at a fair price. Friendly staff. Choice of places to eat in the evening within the hotel. Coffee machine in room and fridge and fresh milk all appreciated. Easy parking. We would stay here again if in the area. Long breakfast hours 7.30 -10.00. Pleasant residents lounge.
Given the price of breakfast £17.50, the traditional cooked breakfast was on the small size and the choice of continental not as good as it should have been.

Staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and genuinely lovely people. Room was spacious, amazing view and a lovely walk right on the doorstop. Plenty of stop off points when driving to stop and admire the view or go for a walk.
This is being incredibly picky but the bed wasn’t overly comfy (in my opinion) it was very firm and therefore we struggled to get a good night sleep. They also wanted to charge us £10 for a travel cot which I thought was cheeky when you pay extra for a child within the room rate. Behind the sink in the bathroom could also do with a good dust!
