About this apartment rental

Summary:

Between Milano Centrale and Porta Nuova: the station is a 10-minute walk, the M2 metro 4 minutes and the M3 to the Duomo 5. Bosco Verticale, Piazza Gae Aulenti and the Isola district are 10 minutes on foot.

A renovated one-bedroom flat on the 7th floor, with a lift. A bright living room with two windows, sofa and kitchen; a bedroom with a double bed behind a frosted-glass sliding door; a bathroom with a large rain shower.

Self check-in with your own door code.

The Space:

About 40 m², renovated.

LIVING ROOM — Two windows, a sofa that opens into a double bed, a high table with stools and a wall-mounted TV.

KITCHEN — Along one wall of the living room: oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, Nespresso machine, kettle and toaster, with pans, dishes and glasses.

BEDROOM — Double bed with an upholstered headboard and a bedside table and lamp on each side. Mirrored wardrobe, chest of drawers, valet stand and luggage rack. A frosted-glass sliding door closes it off from the living room.

BATHROOM — Large shower with a rain head and a hand shower, wall-hung WC and bidet, heated towel rail, hairdryer.

BY THE DOOR — Coat hooks, a shoe rack and a cabinet for sorting the rubbish.

Air conditioning in the living room, heating and Wi-Fi. Bed linen and towels are included.

Guest Access:

The whole flat is yours. The entrance hall, stairs, corridor and lift are shared with the rest of the building.

How you get in: ring the intercom at the glass front door and we open it for you remotely. Go up the marble stairs, turn right at the top and follow the corridor to the end: the lift is on the right. It's a vintage lift with a wooden door and folding doors, and it only moves when both are shut. On the 7th floor, the white door with the keypad is yours, and your personal code opens it. Before you arrive we send step-by-step instructions with a 90-second video. A key to the front door is waiting on the kitchen table.

We can't keep luggage in the flat before check-in or after check-out, because that's when it gets cleaned. There's a left-luggage office at Milano Centrale, 10 minutes away.

The Neighborhood:

You're in the Centro Direzionale, the business district between Milano Centrale and Porta Nuova. Palazzo Lombardia, the seat of the regional government, is two minutes away on foot; the Pirelli Tower, six.

Ten minutes west is the new skyline: the Bosco Verticale, Piazza Gae Aulenti, the UniCredit Tower and the Biblioteca degli Alberi park. Isola, with its bars, restaurants and small shops, is ten minutes away too, and Corso Como fifteen.

For everyday needs: a pharmacy next to the building, a Carrefour Express two minutes away, Aldi and NaturaSì four.

Getting Around:

METRO — M2 Gioia, 4 minutes on foot: direct to Porta Genova and the Navigli. M3 Sondrio, 5 minutes: the Duomo is 5 stops away with no change. M5 Isola, 9 minutes: direct to San Siro.

TRAINS — Milano Centrale, 10 minutes on foot: high-speed trains, the Malpensa Express and the airport buses for Malpensa and Bergamo. Milano Porta Garibaldi, 15 minutes: the S5 and S6 suburban lines run to the Rho Fiera exhibition centre with no change.

LINATE AIRPORT — M2 to Sant'Ambrogio, then the M4 to the terminal.

BY CAR — The building is outside Area C, the city-centre congestion charge zone. Street parking is paid and hard to find; the Einaudi underground car park is a 7-minute walk.

• Check-in from 14:00 to 21:00. You can arrive between 21:00 and 00:30 with a €15 supplement, because someone from our team stays on call to let you in; 00:30 is the latest arrival. Check-out by 10:00.

• The lift is vintage and small: two people with two suitcases fit. Close both doors every time, including when you get out on the 7th floor, otherwise it stays blocked for everyone.

• City tax (Comune di Milano): €9.50 per person per night, for the first 14 nights. Depending on the site you book on, it is collected with the booking or on arrival.

• No smoking, no parties, no pets.

Interaction with Guests:

We're YouBnB and we reply in the platform chat. Before you travel you get everything in writing: the arrival instructions with the video and your door code. During your stay you can message us any time, and if something in the flat needs fixing, someone from our Milan team comes round. Otherwise the flat is all yours: nobody turns up unannounced.
