About this house rental
Summary:
Two bedrooms, two shower rooms and a sofa bed, sleeping up to six, all on one level. The king room has its own shower room, the second bedroom has two single beds (or a king on request), and the living room sofa opens into a bed for two. Out in the garden, a summerhouse holds table football and darts, there's a mini pool table too, and the driveway takes two cars. Albert Road is about 10 minutes' walk and the seafront at Canoe Lake about 16.
The Space:
Sleeping
Bedroom 1: UK king-size bed (150 cm wide, close to a US queen), with an en suite shower room.
Bedroom 2: two single beds, which can be zipped into a king on request.
Living room: a sofa bed for two.
Linen, towels, toiletries, extra pillows and blankets are all provided.
Bathrooms
Two: the en suite and a main bathroom, each with a walk-in shower.
Kitchen and dining
An open-plan kitchen with an oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and coffee machine, next to the dining table.
Living and games
The lounge has a large smart TV with streaming apps and an Xbox. In the garden, the summerhouse has table football, a dartboard, seating and a desk, and there's also a mini pool table. Board games are in the house.
Work trips
The summerhouse desk, Wi-Fi and a driveway that has taken a long van make the bungalow a practical base for contractors and visiting teams.
Outside
An enclosed back garden and a driveway for two vehicles at the front.
Everyday practicals
Wi-Fi, a washing machine, an iron, heating with separate controls for the bathrooms, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and a first aid kit. The bungalow is all on one level.
Travelling with children
Children of all ages are welcome. There's no cot or high chair, so please bring a travel cot if you need one.
Bringing your dog
Up to two dogs are welcome and a pet fee applies. The garden is enclosed, but very small dogs can squeeze through a gap by the gate, so keep an eye on them.
Good to know
The front door locks automatically when it closes, so take the key with you when you go out.
Guest Access:
The whole bungalow, garden and summerhouse are for your group. Self check-in by lockbox is from 4 pm to 9 pm, check-out is by 10 am, and you park on the driveway in front of the house, which fits two cars.
The Neighborhood:
A quiet close in Southsea, a residential part of Portsmouth. On foot: Albert Road's cafés, bars and restaurants about 10 minutes, Fratton Park about 14, Canoe Lake and the seafront about 16, Palmerston Road shops about 25, and Southsea Castle and the Common, home of the Victorious festival, about 30. By car: Eastney beach 5 minutes, Gunwharf Quays 7, the Spinnaker Tower 8 and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard 12.
Getting Around:
Fratton station is about 14 minutes' walk, with direct trains to London Waterloo. Portsmouth Harbour, where the Isle of Wight ferries leave, is about 8 minutes by car or taxi.
