The receptionist when we booked is was the only person we saw the whole time we were there but she was lovely friendly and helpful .
Cooked breakfast was overcooked breakfast was basic also need a decent coffee machine that allows a choice of drinks the water was cold for drinks although the receptionist kindly brought a kettle of hot water most hotels now have machines.

The room was clean, big and the bedding very comfortable.
Good and varied breakfast, suggestion of granola, salmon bowl and also classic English breakfast with a buffet including pancakes which my kids enjoyed a lot.
The location is quiet, they also have a playground for little ones and a very nice park with ponds for a nice walk. The receptionist is lovely.

I’ve stayed 3 or 4 times before and liked the calm atmosphere and setting
I really don’t like the refurb - gold and black - purple peacock wallpaper not exactly in keeping with the Somerset Farmhouse! It’s a shame as I love the neutral understated palette it was previously
