The Archangel,Restaurant & Bar with Rooms

The Archangel was perfect for my stay. The room was a lovely size. Very comfortable bed, had a great nights sleep. Very clean room with lovely bedding. Great to have a kettle in the room along with tea/ coffee/ sugar. There is milk available, just ask the staff. Loved the body and handwashing. Smell amazing. I stayed on a Sunday and they close at 7pm so it was very peaceful. Staff were really lovely and helpful. I booked the breakfast and it was delicious. I went as I wanted to visit the Independent market. Wasn’t disappointed! It is situated in the town but on a side road so you don’t hear anything, well I didn’t hear anything. The property is really beautiful. There’s a Mark & Spencer and Greggs just a short walk away. I’m hoping to stay next month.

The bedroom was cosy and the bed very comfortable. There were lots of different rooms downstairs to eat & drink and relax in. The breakfast was lovely. The property is well situated to explore Frome. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Very noisy in room 3 as people drinking and dining in the pub would stand at the bottom of the stairs yelling. The huge bath was not possible for me to bathe in as the sides were too high. My room was very dark. The side lights by the bed were good, but the overhead ceiling lights were not all working so the room was very dark.

Fantastic bar - lots of comfy nooks. Delicious breakfast - lots of choice & top quality. Friendly staff. Big room. Quality towels, bedding and toiletries.

Room 10. Very bright green emergency light in room -but eye mask provided. Pillows quite flat, not very soft. Thin walls - but ear plugs provided. Crack in window. Peeling paint in bathroom. Could have done with a lamp, quite dark for doing make-up, even on a sunny morning. Room good, but a bit tired.

Breakfast good and staff very attentive and efficient. it was quite expensive

We had a huge high sided bath taking up a fair proportion of our room. The sides were too tall to get into or out of it as we are both 70+ Therefore as there was no walk in shower we could not have a shower.
