A broken shutter, no timely solution, and poor support forced our family to leave and find alternati

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst accommodation experiences we have ever had. Upon arrival, we discovered that a bedroom roller shutter was completely broken and stuck in the closed position. The issue was immediately reported to the host, who acknowledged the problem and confirmed that a technician would try to repair it. However, no solution was provided within a reasonable timeframe and we were left without clear information regarding when, or even if, the issue would be resolved. We were travelling as a family with three children during a period of very high temperatures in Vienna (around 35°C). Under these circumstances, the apartment was not reasonably usable for our family. As a direct consequence of the unresolved defect, we were forced to book and pay for a hotel at our own expense. What was most disappointing was not only the problem itself, but the way it was handled. Despite acknowledging the defect and despite our numerous attempts to obtain assistance, communication became very limited and no satisfactory solution was offered. Instead of addressing our formal refund request, we later received an automated message inviting us to leave a positive review, while the dispute was still unresolved. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this property and would advise future guests to carefully consider alternative accommodation. The host explicitly confirmed in writing that the shutter was defective and that the repair "may take some time", which clearly demonstrates that the problem existed and remained unresolved during our stay.
