Horrible!

Not an overall great experience with this property or host. As you first enter the property you’re met with a strong and offensive stench of damp, mouldy air. This was coming from the confronting and open basement spanning half of the front room. No floor, only a metal balustrade surrounding the stairwell. The smell travelled through to the back bedrooms. The property has a laneway along the side with windows which had no curtains and therefore no privacy from anyone walking by the front room. The bed in the main bedroom was painfully uncomfortable. Mattress and pillows were awful. Window above the bed didn’t have a curtain and also didn’t close properly. The light from neighbouring property would shine straight through and noise from the laneway would keep me up until after 1am! The door lock would jam constantly and we couldn’t turn the key to unlock the front door - one time standing in the scorching sun for 10 minutes trying to get in. The power went out when using the washing machine and the dishwasher was leaking. While our host was very responsive and tried to help, it was frustrating to be told that he was aware of the door lock issue and suggested we try harder to unlock it at first, and to just turn the power back on at the mains if the washing machine tripped the mains, or worse, perhaps turning off the aircon if we were using the washing machine. I specifically chose this property for its amenities, it should work and I shouldn’t need to be intentionally inconvenienced. We then wanted to leave the property as this was too much to have to deal with… I am there on holiday - I expect to have a relaxing time. The host then organised to have the front lock fixed despite us asking to NOT have anyone access the property while we were not there. We had no prior notice to allow us to move valuables which was not ok. The host also offered a refund of one night as compensation which never eventuated.

Wszystko było jak trzeba a właściciel otwarty na pomoc i wszelkie prośby.

Jeżeli miałbym coś ulepszyć i dodać to wygodną sofę do living room.
