Good location, but some issues.

Good location.

Couldn't find the lock box, a neighbour helped show us where it was. The net blinds had come off the wall and were lying on the floor. Toilet lid was loose and shower was temperamental.

It was an economical stay with a good location in an apartment that has not been well-maintained.

The location of the apartment is great if you are focused on Portabello Road shops and restaurants. The nearest tube station is close BUT it is not in the best neighborhood. Kensington Gardens is also within a long walk's distance. The space was clean and the washer/dryer was a plus.

The apartment is not in optimum condition; it seems like it fell victim to a DIY owner remodel. The toilet seat was just placed over the toilet, and the property managers did not do anything to fix it upon being informed. The under-counter refrigerator is not fixed so it leans any time you place an item in the door. The tile is cracked in the kitchen due to improper floor installation. Rather than installing a plate on the bathroom door latch, there was a bolt lock attached to the inside of the bathroom so you couldn't close the bathroom door from the outside. There is no towel rack in the bathroom and no shelf in the shower to put soap or shampoo. The room with the twin bed has no storage space because one of the twin beds is pushed against the closet in order to fit the two beds into the room. There is no air conditioning in the apartment -- only a tower fan in the bedroom with a double bed. The kitchen has quality appliances but, for example, most of the pots and pans do not work with an induction stovetop and so are therefore useless. The induction stovetop did not work when we arrived and, to their credit, the property managers replaced it within 24 hours of being informed of the issue (despite ignoring the remainder of the issues). Given the condition and neglect of the apartment, I wonder for how long it hadn't functioned. As well, the kitchen was not equipped with even the basic cooking ingredients, including salt, pepper, cooking oil and sugar. We left those items that we purchased behind for the next tenant. Also, we were given one bath towel, but no hand towel nor wash cloth.
