High Point earns its name, set high above the landscape on six acres of natural Joshua trees and backed right up against Joshua Tree National Park. Large windows fill the open-concept house with light, and three outdoor decks look out over cacti, wildlife and mountains. Spend the day in the park next door, come back to the hot tub, then fire up the propane BBQ and take dinner out to whichever deck has the best view. Three bedrooms, three full baths. The Space:

High Point is a 2,300-square-foot home on six acres of natural Joshua trees, set high above the surrounding landscape and backed up against Joshua Tree National Park. The open-concept home has large windows, natural light and upgraded appliances, and three outdoor decks look out over the neighborhood, cacti and mountains. With three bedrooms and three full bathrooms, it suits families and groups. Pick a deck for each part of the day; there are three.

-Outdoor Amenities-

Three outdoor decks with seating look out over the open landscape, the mountains and the property's many Joshua trees and cacti. There is a hot tub and a propane BBQ, and the 6 acres are yours to explore. The yard is not fully fenced. Please keep doors closed so desert wildlife stays outside.



-Living Area-

The open-concept living area has large windows and plenty of natural light, with an Apple TV for Disney+, Netflix, Peacock and Pluto TV. Heating, strong air conditioning and ceiling fans keep the home comfortable year-round.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The full kitchen has upgraded appliances and everything you need to cook family meals, and a propane BBQ is outside on the deck. Please note that the dishwasher is currently not operational.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

High Point has three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Two bathrooms have shower-tub combinations and one has a walk-in shower with a seat. A washer and dryer are available.



-Surrounding Area-

High Point backs onto Joshua Tree National Park, with downtown Joshua Tree and the park entrance for the rest of the day.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.



The Neighborhood:

High Point is backed up against Joshua Tree National Park, with views over a quiet neighborhood full of Joshua trees, cacti and wildlife.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



There are no dirt roads to the house, and there is cell phone coverage. Garage and driveway parking are available.



Other Things to Note:

-Hot Tub Rules-

Please rinse off any oils, lotions or other substances before entering the hot tub, as they affect water quality. No drinking in the hot tub, and no glass anywhere near the water; plastic cups are provided. Keep the cover on when the hot tub is not in use, since desert debris easily gets into the water.



-Noise and Light-

Outdoor noise rules are strictly enforced, and there should be no outdoor noise after 9pm. Noise violations will result in a fine of at least $1000. A local light ordinance is in place to protect stargazing in the high desert.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

We have weekly hot tub cleanings on Thursdays, and this day may fall during your stay. Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it has been serviced, as chemical levels are higher than usual for a short time.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed due to the owner's severe allergy.

-Wildlife & Safety-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Camera-

For your security, there are exterior cameras on the property, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the hot tub area. Noise decibel monitors are also on the property.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage is available at the property, though reception can vary by carrier.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
