Very nice hotel stuff always ready to help out.

1. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The hotel has thoughtfully designed dim night lights to come on when all the lights are switched off. The mattresses are of a right firmness, giving one a good night's sleep.
2. The breakfast had a decent range - wonton soup, porridge and stir-fried vegetables and noddles/rice, eggs cooked in different ways, some bread with butter and jam (which tasted rather artificial) and salad.
3. What was nice about using the washing machines and dryers was that a staff would pack the clothes away after they dried which was much appreciated. We could go out after putting them in the wash and when we returned, pick them up from the collection/deposit shelf (where you could also deposit your laundry). This demonstrates thoughtful service indeed.
4. Taking public transport was a cinch because Exit E of Zhongshanba station and the bus station are only about 200m away.
The lift lobbies on the 6th & 8th levels which we were on had a faint not-so-fresh smell.

I had a great stay at Atour Hotel Guangzhou Zhongshan Eight Metro Station. The service was great - everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff was friendly, always greeted guests, and answered questions patiently. The hotel is clean, modern, and well maintained. I loved the thoughtful amenities like the coffee/tea corner with a little ice machine at the lobby, free umbrella rental, and especially the laundry service - the staff dried my clothes and delivered them back to my room, which was incredibly convenient. The location is fantastic, with the metro and bus station both within a 5-minute walk. The air conditioning was also nice and strong, which I really appreciated.
One of my suggestions is to offer guests the option to reuse towels instead of replacing them every day. A simple card or door hanger would help reduce unnecessary waste. The laundry service was fantastic, but there were a few times when my clothes came back damp. It would be super helpful if the staff could make sure everything is completely dry before sending it back to the room.
