It was a basic standard experience

It was disappointing and uncomfortable.
It’s only one thing, the property was clean.
The biggest disappointment was the bathroom layout. None of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, which significantly reduces privacy. The bathroom are located directly next to the lounge and the kitchen, so using them felt uncomfortable, especially when the rest of us were gathered in the lounge. It just didn’t offer the level of privacy you would expect from a three-bedroom house.
The biggest inconvenience, however, was the shower arrangement, as we were four adults and two children. There was only one shower. This wasn’t much of an issue at night, but the following morning it became a major inconvenience. We all had to get ready for an early appointment, yet we had to wait for one person to finish showering before the next could use it. This caused unnecessary delays and frustration.
The house was also extremely cold, especially considering that we stayed during winter. There was no air conditioners in the bedrooms or the lounge, which made the evening and early morning very uncomfortable.
Another concern was the lack of outdoor lighting. By the time we arrived, it was already dark, and none of the front exterior lights were working. The walkway and entrance were pitch black, making it difficult to see where we were walking while offloading our luggage. Proper outdoor lighting is essential for guests arriving after sunset, both for safety and convenience.
After we checked out, we realised that we had misplaced the WiFi dongle. I immediately sent the owner a WhatsApp message explaining the situation and politely asked that, if they happened to find it, they let me know, as we weren’t sure whether we had left it at the house or misplaced it elsewhere. To this day, I have not received any response. I found the lack of communication disappointing. Even if they hadn’t found the dongle, I would have appreciated a simple response acknowledging my message. Good communication is an important part of customer service, and unfortunately, that was lacking.

Will not stay there again

OLD water leak @ basin and wood from the cupboards were damaged. Had to use 2 towels to put on the floor to contain the water. Gate to the property had to be manually opened on the 2nd night. Both toilets were leaking. Black mold on the tiles in the bathroom. No firewood provided nor firelighters. Utensils (knifes and forks) were dirty. There's no teapot to make tea. No dustbins in the rooms. Light stand broken. Loose tiles in kitchen. Duvet inners were lumpy. Outside lights not working. Sliding door going to the fireplace could not close properly. No curtains in front of both sliding doors.

Beautiful property. Well made. Not that new, nicely refurbished now.
Could’ve had AC or Fans. As I prefer some wind to sleep with ease.
