Great Location, But Fell Short of Expectations for a Property That Sleeps 12The location was fantastic and the host was responsive. However, arriving to a property that sleeps 12 with minimal information and amenities was disappointing.Check-in required 30 minutes notice via WhatsApp. Arriving from an international flight, our data plan hadn’t activated so messages weren’t reaching the host for the first 24 hours. We were fortunate to catch the cleaning crew leaving to gain access.Once inside, there was no welcome information, WiFi details, appliance instructions, or hot water for first 24 hrs (had to reset boiler). We were given one key and received a second upon request - inadequate for a large group. Bedding was minimal for the sofa beds (one sheet, no pillows) and towels insufficient for 10 people. TVs were unplugged, extension cords hidden behind furniture. Small issues included a broken toilet seat, non-functioning lights, and a shower door that trapped one of our guests. No instructions or place to take garbage and with 10 people, it piles up.Four levels of narrow stairs. The property was extremely hot during the historic heat wave, though the host’s fans helped considerably. Construction on the neighboring shared wall created noise throughout much of our stay.With a welcome guide, adequate keys, sufficient bedding, working fixtures, and a contactless check-in option, this could be a lovely property in a great location (.3 miles from Marble Arch).
