About this house rental

A vacation from everyday life in Hohenlohe with family and friends. Plenty of space to spend time together.

Detached vacation home for up to 8 people with an approximately 2,000 m² fenced-in garden, a fireplace, and e-bike charging stations.

The vacation home is located on the Hohenlohe Plain between the Kocher and Jagst rivers on the outskirts of the small village of Muthof. It was carefully renovated and generously expanded by us, the architects and owners. With approximately 200 square meters of living space, it comfortably accommodates up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms. Your dog is also welcome.

The vacation home
The main entrance is accessible via both a staircase and a ramp. The entire first floor is threshold-free, and the terraces are also accessible without thresholds. You’ll have the house all to yourselves.

The interior, featuring harmonious colors, natural materials, and clean lines, creates a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

The open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area offers views of the surrounding garden through floor-to-ceiling windows. The new, modern kitchen is perfect for cooking and dining together. It is fully equipped with everything needed for 8 people. The large dining table offers plenty of space for social meals, game nights, and cheerful gatherings.

On cooler evenings, the fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere. Musicians will also appreciate the piano and ukulele.

Four cozy bedrooms—with a total of three double beds and two single beds—offer restful sleep and pleasant places to retreat. A comfortable bathroom with a shower is available on both the first floor and the attic. Each bathroom is accessible from two bedrooms via a short hallway. There is also a separate guest restroom on the first floor.

Two parking spaces are available in front of the garage.

Bicycles and e-bikes can be parked in the covered bike shed on the property. A charging station is available for e-bikes.

In the vacation home, you’ll find an information folder with tips on shopping, hikes, cultural events, and day trips.

Important Notes
For safety reasons, the vacation home is designed to accommodate a maximum of eight people. Please note that it is not suitable as a party venue.
The vacation home is smoke-free. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the property.
Electric vehicles cannot be charged at the vacation home, as there is no wallbox available.
One dog is welcome. However, out of consideration for future guests, your dog is not allowed on the sofas, armchairs, or beds. Please clean up after your dog in the garden as you normally would and remove any visible pet hair from the house before your departure.
Access is convenient via a key box. You will receive your personal PIN code three days before your arrival.

The Garden
The garden, enclosed on all sides by a wire fence, offers plenty of space to relax and play. Generous terraces around the west and south sides of the house invite you to enjoy the sun and the view of the greenery. The terraces are accessible directly from the house.

The large garden table seats up to eight people for shared meals outdoors. Four sun loungers offer a place to relax. There is also a cozy Hollywood swing under the hazelnut bushes. Additional garden benches and seating provide more spots to linger.
The garden furniture is available from around Easter through the end of October.

The Village of Muthof
The vacation home is located in the small village of Muthof, which boasts a history spanning more than 700 years. It is part of the town of Forchtenberg, known as the birthplace of Sophie Scholl.

Muthof is situated in the Hohenlohe Plain, surrounded by fields and meadows and bordered by the Klosterwald forest. The village chapel on the neighboring property is also part of the village. Its bell traditionally rings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Hiking, Biking, Swimming, and Excursions
You can set out on hikes through fields, meadows, and forests right from the vacation home. A direct path leads through the monastery forest to the former Cistercian monastery of Schöntal with its magnificent church.

The vacation home is also ideally located for bike tours, situated between the Kocher and Jagst bike paths. The Kocher River is about 3 km away, and the Jagst River is about 6 km away; both river valleys are accessible via paved paths. The Kocher-Jagst Bike Trail winds through varied landscapes and connects numerous places of interest in the region.

The swimming lake in Schleierhof, the Großer Tiroler See, is about a 20-minute walk away via a forest path and is still considered an insider’s tip. On warm days, the Jagst River near Schöntal Abbey is also perfect for swimming.

If you’d like to try something unique, Jagsthausen offers intuitive archery. During the summer season, you can also attend the famous open-air theater performances there. Jagsthausen is also home to the castle of Götz von Berlichingen.

Rothenburg ob der Tauber or the somewhat quieter but equally worth-seeing Dinkelsbühl are great options for a day trip. Bad Mergentheim, with its wildlife park, is also a worthwhile destination.

Also worth seeing are Langenburg Castle with the German Automobile Museum and the medieval old town of Schwäbisch Hall with its Saturday market. The Hohenlohe Open-Air Museum in Wackershofen (near Schwäbisch Hall) vividly illustrates how people in the region used to live and work.
