Superb view, tucked away in the hills, this recently renovated cottage is a comfortable getaway, ideal for peaceful activties, or as a base for nearby NP hikes. Friendly host, very welcoming. Did I mention the view? Down steep slopes to Latrobe Valley with distant mountains, then nearby farm animals and birdlife. And a great deck to just stand or sit and gaze for hours, or relax inside on comfortable furniture. Lots of great kitchen equipment, delicious fresh rainwater. Ideal for larger groups but also great for one person. Nice concrete pad to park on next to the door.
Only minor things that did not have a significant impact - there was no dish rack (I don't use a dishwasher); there is a strange toilet seat in main ensuite with warmer and bidet and weird shape to sit on - others may love it!! No heating (or cooling) except for log fire (which I don't use), however lots of rugs and cosy couch/bed. Yard around the cottage has look of recent building debris, could have spoilt the view but just had to look past it. Driveway was extremely bumpy and covered in debris, OK for 4wd and high clearance but a bit tricky with my car.
