I am not someone who normally leaves negative reviews, but based on my experience, I feel it is important to provide an honest account of what happened during our stay. I would strongly advise future guests to carefully consider the issues we experienced before booking this property or any other property managed by this host. We booked a five-day stay and paid in full. However, our experience was so problematic from the beginning. Upon arrival, we were extremely concerned by the condition of the property. There was a very strong and unpleasant smell throughout the accommodation. We also found towels covered in brown stains, a broken showerhead, and bedding and pillowcases with an unpleasant smell. There was also effectively no space for us to unpack, as the wardrobes were occupied by clothing belonging to the host. Another thing that concerned us was upon opening the fridge we found multiple syringes inside a bag. At this point we immediately raised our concerns with Booking.com and attempted to have ourselves relocated to alternative accommodation as we felt we could not stay here given all the issues. The property also appeared to have a number of cctv cameras. We were informed that these cameras would contain timestamps that could potentially establish the exact circumstances and duration of our stay. We and Booking.com requested access to this information, particularly after the host disputed our account of events and claimed we had stayed at their accommodation for the full 5 days. However, despite these requests, we have not been provided with the relevant footage. When we initially contacted the host regarding the issues, our concerns were disputed and they claimed that we were lying about everything. They also accused us of having “a history of living and using a property and then trying to get a full refund using false claims”, booking.com will be able to view all my previous bookings with them and see that this is certainly not the case.
