I would not stay here again

It’s nicely decorated. The mattress was comfortable.

In practical terms, the main bedroom door doesn’t close and the radiator in that room doesn’t work. The main issue is lack of any soundproofing and the layout of the apartments meant that the noise from the party that was being held in one of the apartment above from around 10pm till 5am was absolutely intolerable. The host visited at around 11pm to ask the guests to stop but unfortunately it had no effect. He then left and didn’t respond to my messages. While I appreciate the host can’t be held accountable for the behaviour of the other guests I feel that he should have remained at the property for a time to see if the guests did as he asked. The outcome would have been very different as, using his words ‘they would be asked to leave’. The host’s response the following day to my issue was less than satisfactory, he didn’t care that my daughter and I were unable to sleep at all. He was unwilling to discount the costs of our 3 night stay which at this point is my main issue. It could be that my viewpoint is considered unreasonable, but I feel that by paying for accommodation an assumption is made that it you can actually use it for it’s intended purpose. The host could have dealt with this very differently, it appears he simply doesn’t care.

A good place could be great with just a coupe of improvements.

The location was excellent for city centre. Just a 15-18 min walk or 4 min Uber to the Castle. The decor was new and clean and modern. All mod cons. Good kitchen and sitting room. Nice sized bedrooms. Felt safe.

The beds were very small. The listing did say they were just regular doubles, but they felt smaller - almost like oversized singles. The rooms were a good size, so this would have been great if the beds were kingsize. The bathroom, too, felt a little cramped. And no bath. Just a shower.
