It was about a 15-20min walk from the train station. There are quite a few restaurants nearby. The area seemed safe with great access to the public transportation system. The room was clean.

The guesthouse was a 5th floor walkup. Fortunately there was an elevator, a tiny old style where one opens and closes the doors manually. Room was clean and modern. Bed was comfortable. The only issue was with the shower. It leaks somewhere around the fixed panel, the balance between hot and cold is a fine line and one day there was no hot water.

Exceptional communication by owner, A/C was on when we arrived and MUCH appreciated! Clean, organized, quiet- just what we were looking for! Others have mentioned this, but you do have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the elevator/lift which is small. It worked fantastic though- we never had any issues, just had to be a little creative when loading in our luggage. Well located in a lovely and safe area- just a quick walk to the Colosseum and in Monti which has tons of food and shopping options. We loved this location!
