Nothing

Booked Aurea house as a last minute stay. On the day of arrival (3pm check in) we receive a text to say they don’t have any cleaners, and that we would have to wait until after 4pm. 5.30pm we were finally allowed to check into the villa, only problem was this wasn’t the villa we had booked. The living room is tiny, kitchen was dirty and bare (no idea what the cleaners were doing for 2.5 hours). TV didn’t work, WIFI not working. On top of that there was an awful , disgusting smell throughout the villa. We contacted the owner to ask why we were not in the correct villa, explained the smell and that non of the amenities were working. Owner replied that this villa was identical to the villa we had booked (it wasn’t, the villa we had booked was significantly larger, safer pool area etc). By now it was after 9pm at night so the messages stopped and we had to wait until morning. During this time, the smell in the villa became so bad it was making us unwell (sickness and headaches) turns out the main bathroom was leaking sewage 🤮 So we spent the rest of the night in the car 😭 10.30am the next morning 2 maintenance men turn up, also repulsed by the smell they poured some water down a drain in the hope this would solve the problem, they then faffed with the tv and wifi for 1.5 hours while we all sat about outside retching with the heat and smell! Owner still refused to move us, at this point we decided for our children’s sake to ring the bank for a charge back, we then left as quick as our feet could take us to a different villa near by. Other negatives included mice everywhere outside the villa trying to get indoors. Building works directly in-front and behind the property.
