Decent, but will not book the same place again because of the non responsive owner.

Location & Apartment

The property owner was not responding, phone number was not reachable, no response on whats app. The Wifi was not working. All these things made the stay very frustrating.

Very disappointing experience – misleading listing and serious safety concerns

The location was the only positive.

Due to Booking.com’s inability to resolve this matter or achieve a satisfactory outcome, the issue has been reported to Dubai Consumer Protection. I booked this accommodation for my wife. What followed was a classic bait‑and‑switch: the booking was confirmed for Shakespeare Circus 1, but we were instead directed to Regent House 1. On arrival, it became immediately clear that the property was not prepared for guests. Most concerning was that the property owner was still inside the apartment at 4:00pm, attempting to vacate and clean at the stated check‑in time. This raised serious concerns around safety, privacy, and whether the property is genuinely operated as short‑stay accommodation. Beyond this, the apartment had multiple issues that made it unsuitable to stay in: - Air conditioning not functioning properly (a significant safety concern in Dubai’s heat) - No bed sheets provided - Couches advertised as sofa beds were not usable as beds - Mosquito infestation - Incorrect Wi‑Fi details provided Attempts to contact the host were unsuccessful - messages and calls were ignored, and even Booking.com staff were unable to reach her, which aligns with feedback from other reviewers. It is deeply concerning that these properties remain listed on Booking.com despite repeated issues and the inability to contact or hold the host accountable. Booking.com should not allow listings where guests are sent to alternate properties, access is delayed by the owner still occupying the unit, and fundamental safety and hygiene standards are not met. This experience caused significant stress for my family.

Could not lock the door for the whole stay

The apartment is located in Motor City, which is an excellent and convenient area. The check-in process (finding the building) was smooth and easy.

Unfortunately, our stay was marred by a major safety concern. Upon arrival, the apartment was unlocked and the keys left inside were the wrong ones. I contacted the owner immediately and sent video proof, but no action was taken. We had to leave the apartment unlocked for the entire week, which was very unsettling. Furthermore, the sofa beds were extremely uncomfortable, and there were no blankets provided. Despite it being winter and the AC being off, it was quite cold at night. The owner was unresponsive to these issues as well.

We loved our stay here! The place is very spacious, with three sofa beds in addition to the main bed in the bedroom, perfect for groups or families. It’s also pet-friendly, which was a big plus for us. The surroundings are beautiful with plenty of trees and parks, and the facilities are very family-friendly. Such a comfortable and welcoming environment

What could be improved is the electric cooker, as it really needs to be replaced with a newer one that can be adjusted. Also, the lighting inside is a bit too dim, and brighter lights would make the space even more comfortable.
