Terrible experience – avoid this place!
There was no check-in information provided, which made our arrival extremely stressful. When I tried calling the host, I received no answer. Luckily, I was with a friend who speaks Arabic, and we managed to find a random person in the building who helped us track down the host by checking the Booking phone number in his personal contacts. When we finally found the guy, he first claimed he had lost his phone, then looked surprised that I had actually shown up, and finally said he had also lost the key to the apartment I had booked — and placed me in a completely different apartment instead.
The building is old and falling apart, with trash all over the corridors. Right in front of our apartment door there was a thrown-out sofa, garbage, and even a dying kitten – truly heartbreaking and unhygienic.
The apartment itself was filthy. There was trash on the floor, a cigarette butt left behind, and cockroaches popping out from corners. The bed sheets were dirty, there was no toilet paper, and the toilet seat hadn’t been cleaned. The Wi-Fi didn’t work either, and in the room there was no connection since it is a bunker like apartment.
To make things worse, the whole place had the vibe of a cheap motel where people go just to have sex – not somewhere you’d want to spend the night, let alone feel safe or comfortable.
Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. This was honestly one of the worst stays I’ve ever had.
