An excellent bedroom, plenty of space. L and a good shower room. Breakfast was delicious and all of the staff were friendly and very efficient.
Could have done with a chair in the room.

Breakfast was outstanding, great quality tea & coffee too, served in gorgeous tea & coffee pots. Very friendly, helpful staff throughout.
For such a good quality breakfast & nicely presented butter it was a shame to have poor quality jams (but no marmalade) in plastic pods.

Staff friendly.
Rooms are very tired and basic. Our bathroom had rotten wood, rusty radiators and old/dirty sealant in shower etc. We were given the tiniest bottle of shower gel to use as soap for hand washing. The bathroom door also wouldn't shut properly unless you slammed it, which I'm sure our neighbouring rooms didn't appreciate.
The bed is cheap quality and I've never had such thin pillows to sleep on. We had to roll up towels to use underneath them.
No hairdryers provided.
We also had to turn off the mini fridge in the room as it was so noisy.
We booked breakfast for Saturday morning, which was ÂŁ15pp upfront. The young chef was a friendly guy, but no menus given and just asked what we would like. Tea and coffee offered but we had to ask if there was any juice available. Good breakfast provided in the end. But you really should provide menus and descriptions, especially for dietary requirements.
My parents room, again, was very tired and they couldn't open their windows in their room, so it was quite stuffy.
We would have discussed this with staff during our stay (as I don't like writing negative reviews) but we were busy with attending a wedding, so didn't spend a lot of time at the property. Again, would have given feedback at checkout but as I handed keys back to a chef (no other staff seemed to be around at the time) I didn't think it was appropriate to discuss our disappointment with him. The pub itself is what a village pub should be, and was busy when we arrived on Friday night. Some money and care spent on the rooms would bring them up to the same standard as the rest of the establishment.
