About this house rental
Practical and well equipped, strong Wifi, on the end of a secluded wooded street in Lake Placid's premier resort district. Take advantage of special re-introduction rates after just completed addition.
Enjoy access to surrounding resort properties of Lake Placid Lodge, Whiteface Lodge, The Whiteface Club, and to Lake Placid lake and the Mackenzie Mountain Wilderness. Available top rated cross country skiing and snowshoeing, or summer golf, tennis, swimming, boating, spa, endless walking paths, wilderness hiking. All this and yet shopping is a 3 minute drive.
On the main floor there’s a powder room, a master bedroom with queen bed, master bath with tiled shower, and walk in closet. There's another bedroom with a daybed and trundle bed that also makes an excellent home office. The great room with vaulted ceiling includes living room with stone surround gas fireplace, flat screen Internet/Cable TV, an open kitchen with stone countertops and stainless GE appliances, and a dining area.
The lower level suite features two more bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds, plus an upper and lower bunk bed. There's also a sitting area, full bath, and a door into the attached heated wood paneled garage with ping pong table, mud room and room for bikes. There's a Gas Grill on the deck off the kitchen, and a rear deck with mountain view over the campfire. The deck has adirondack chairs and large picnic table. There’s a trail cam on the driveway.
You can walk from the house 10 minutes across the golf course path to the lakeshore trails, or onto the 25 mile Jackrabbit Trail, or just sit on the back deck with Mountain View’s and listen to the babbling brook at the back of the property.

Great location and beautiful house.

This cabin is the ideal way to enjoy the Lake Placid region - you are a comfortable distance from town for unwinding but are still only minutes away from activities, shopping, and particularly close to two excellent grocery stores. There is room for the whole family to spread out, too: the pictures hardly do this cabin justice. The kitchen and living room in particular are spacious and well-stocked. We had everything we needed. The cabin remains cozy while being big enough to not mind a rainy afternoon or a night in, especially after a day full of mountains/lakes. The neighborhood was quiet, even during the busy 4th of July weekend. Check-in was simple, as was the process for cleaning and checking out. My family had an excellent time and will return.

Everything was as expected. Host was responsive and took care of a glitch here and there

Very nice house. Was great that they had lots of cooking supplies in the kitchen already (pots, pans, Tupperware, knives). Great views in the backyard.
