Cook at an island with ten stools, gather by the fireplace, then take the campfire seats outside. Four bedrooms and a Moroccan-style loft. The robes are Coyuchi, the coffee is Canyon.



The Space:

As seen in Vogue and Sight Unseen, West & Wild is a spacious, peaceful hacienda in the Flamingo Heights neighborhood of Yucca Valley, with its very own Joshua tree. High ceilings and big windows let in the desert light, and the home is designed for comfort and entertaining, with a gourmet kitchen, a large lounge and an artist-designed pool. Four bedrooms, three with ensuite bathrooms, including a freestanding pool casita, plus a Moroccan-style loft with four twin XL beds, make it a strong fit for larger groups and families. Wrap up in a Coyuchi robe and take the first coffee by the pool.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The artist-designed, hand-painted swimming pool is likely to be your favorite part of the home, with comfortable lounge furniture all around it. The pool is not heated, but the outdoor hot tub makes up for it in the cooler months. Grill dinner on the propane grill, then end the day around the fire pit, which has campfire-ready seating. The hacienda's very own Joshua tree stands in the yard, and the patio looks out over desert views.



-Living Area-

High ceilings and big windows fill the spacious living room with desert light. A comfy sectional and a fireplace make it the natural place to gather or settle in with a book, and the Moroccan-style loft adds a second, playful hangout.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is stocked with Cafe appliances, Global cutlery and Libbey plateware and glassware, set up for both a quick snack and a meal for a crowd. The island seats 10 on bar stools, so everyone can keep the cook company. Canyon coffee is supplied for slow mornings on the patio.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

West & Wild has four bedrooms, including a freestanding pool casita, plus a Moroccan-style loft. Two bedrooms have queen beds, and the third bedroom and the casita each have a king bed. The loft has four twin XL beds, good for adults or a kids' sleepover. All beds have Leesa mattresses with InBed and Coyuchi linens.

There are four bathrooms. Two are ensuite to the primary bedrooms, one is in the casita and one off the living room is shared. Each has a rainfall showerhead and a unique tile shower, and Coyuchi towels and robes are provided.



-Surrounding Area-

West & Wild is in the heart of Flamingo Heights, home to La Copine, Moon Wind Trading Co and Giant Rock Meeting Room & Coffee House. Downtown Yucca Valley, Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown and Joshua Tree National Park round out the map. Pappy & Harriet's has no cell service, so plan your ride home before a night out.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.



The casita is included with your stay. If you need anything, we have a property manager on call in Yucca Valley.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.

-Bathrobes-

If a bathrobe is missing when we clean after your check-out, a replacement fee will be charged.



-EV Charging-

Please note that EV charging is prohibited at the property.



-House-Specific Rules-

► If the size of your party increases or you expect any outside visitors, please let us know right away. No parties or outside noise after 10pm.

► Please rinse off before using the hot tub or pool. There is a $50 charge if the hot tub or pool becomes cloudy from use without rinsing off and needs to be drained.

► Weddings and events are by inquiry only and are subject to permits and applicable law.



-Pool Heating-

The pool is not heated. The outdoor hot tub is available year-round.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The pool and hot tub are serviced Tuesdays and Fridays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $125 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Wildlife & Safety-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

For your security, there are exterior cameras on the property, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the pool and hot tub areas.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
