Summary:

A mountainside of monumental boulders rises right behind the fence at Boulders Beyond, and it gives the whole backyard its privacy and its character. Mornings start with a game on the pickleball court. Afternoons go to the pool and its fountains, with turns in the sauna and the hot tub, and nights end at the fire pit or around the pool table in the guest house. The Space:

Boulders Beyond is a spacious, light-filled house built for gathering, with relaxed interiors that open onto a fully fenced backyard framed by a rugged mountainside of monumental boulders. The rock wall gives the yard real privacy and unmistakable Joshua Tree character. The main house holds four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a fireplace, and a detached guest house adds a fifth bedroom, a third bathroom and a game room. It suits families and groups of friends who want room to spread out indoors and out. Pick teams early: between the court, the pool table and the shuffleboard, someone will want a rematch.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The backyard is the heart of Boulders Beyond. A wall of boulders rises just past the fence line, so every swim and every game of pickleball comes with a dramatic natural backdrop. Spend warm afternoons in the in-ground pool, sit beneath the fountains or stretch out on one of the four chaise loungers. The built-in hot tub can be heated at no charge, and the private sauna is there for cooler mornings and evenings. The fully fenced yard also holds the pickleball court, hammocks, cornhole, a propane BBQ, an outdoor dining table and a propane fire pit for nights under the stars. The pool's separate safety gate has been removed, so please supervise children closely throughout the outdoor area.

Because the surrounding boulders carry and amplify sound, this is a property for peaceful enjoyment. Outdoor music is not permitted, and we ask that voices and activity stay at a respectful level.



-Living Area-

The living room is a warm, easygoing place to land after a day of hiking or exploring. Settle in by the fireplace for a movie, play a game together or simply enjoy a quiet evening indoors, with enough room for the whole group to be together without feeling crowded. A dedicated workspace and high-speed Wi-Fi make it easy to stay connected when you need to.

The detached guest house is a second place to play, with a pool table, shuffleboard and foosball, plus open floor space for yoga, stretching or meditation.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed for relaxed breakfasts, shared dinners and celebratory meals at home. Cookware, dishes, utensils and everyday essentials are provided, along with a Keurig for easy morning coffee. Gather indoors for a casual meal, or take dinner out to the private patio, where the outdoor dining table and propane BBQ sit with the boulders in view.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Boulders Beyond sleeps up to 12 guests across five bedrooms and six beds. Bedroom 1 has a king bed and an ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a king bed. Bedroom 3 has two queen beds, and Bedroom 4 has one queen bed. Bedroom 5 is in the detached guest house, with a queen Murphy bed, a private full bathroom with a shower and its own exterior entrance.

The main house has two bathrooms, one of them ensuite to the primary bedroom, and the guest house has the third full bathroom, which gives larger groups extra privacy.

Boulders Beyond feels tucked into the desert yet stays connected to the heart of Joshua Tree. Joshua Tree Village has locally owned restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, boutiques and the weekly farmers market. In Joshua Tree National Park, the days fill with sunrise hikes, scenic drives, rock climbing and sunset walks among the Joshua trees and giant rock formations. Old Town Yucca Valley has vintage shops and restaurants, the Integratron offers sound baths, and Pioneertown hosts live music most nights. Come home to the boulders glowing at sunset and a clear desert sky full of stars.
