The Space:

Sunflower is a modern desert compound on 40 fenced and gated acres near Joshua Tree village, with panoramic mountain views. A three-bedroom main house and a two-bedroom casita each have their own kitchen and living area, with clean lines, artwork and plenty of natural light. Outside, a pool with an in-ground hot tub, a sports court, disc golf, a polo field sculpture garden and a hammock circle keep everyone busy. It suits families and groups of up to 14, with the casita opened for groups larger than four. Pick teams at breakfast; the acreage can handle it.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The pool and in-ground hot tub overlook the mountains and the high desert. Gather around the propane fire pit, relax in the hammock circle, eat at one of the outdoor dining or picnic areas or fire up the propane BBQ. The sports court has pickleball and basketball, and there is a disc golf course (discs provided), a polo field sculpture garden and 40 acres to explore. The whole property is fenced and gated; dogs have room to roam but should always be supervised.



-Living Area-

The main house and casita each have an open-plan living space connected to the kitchen. The main living room has a smart TV, a music player, books and games, and the casita living area has a smart TV. The game room has foosball, ping pong, arcade games, board games and a TV.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The main house and casita each have a fully equipped kitchen with cookware, dinnerware, drinkware, baking sheets and serving platters. The main kitchen has a gas stove, microwave, toaster, blender and dishwasher, plus salt, pepper, sugar and a few spices. Both have drip coffee makers, Keurig machines and French presses, with a starter supply of coffee pods. The main house breakfast bar seats four, and there are indoor and outdoor dining areas and a propane BBQ.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

The main house has three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The primary suite has a king bed, an ensuite bathroom, a smart TV and patio access. The second and third bedrooms each have a queen bed and share a full bathroom, and another full bathroom is near the laundry. The casita, a short walk away with its own entrance, has a king bedroom and a queen bedroom sharing a full bathroom, plus its own living area and kitchen. The casita is opened for groups larger than four.



-Surrounding Area-

Joshua Tree village and Joshua Tree National Park are the easy outings from Sunflower. Local favorites include Joshua Tree Coffee Company, Country Kitchen, Coyote Corner and the Joshua Tree Saloon, along with the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum. Mesa Market and Vons cover groceries.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.



Guests have private access to the main house, pool, in-ground hot tub, sports court, game room and grounds. The casita is opened for groups larger than four to help keep cleaning costs lower for smaller reservations.



The Neighborhood:

Sunflower is set on 40 private, fenced acres near Joshua Tree village, secluded without being remote. Please respect the surrounding private properties and do not enter neighboring yards while walking in the area. The last 0.3 miles to the home are dirt roads. Sunflower is about a mile from Joshua Tree village and about 3 miles from Joshua Tree National Park.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Please note that Sunflower is in a remote location, and the final stretch to the home is on dirt roads, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms.
