WOW! That's my summary in one word! However, I'll share a "fraction" of the impression we had after a week at this AWESOME property. First, ALL rooms were well appointed making it easy to arrange sleeping for our family of 9 ( ages 7 - 65 ). Two houses were beneficial for the separation of those who rose early and those who rose a tad later.Second, numerous areas were inside and outside for playing many provided games, reading books, watching events like the World Cup, or simply enjoying a cup of tea.Third, everything we needed for cooking was provided. Two kitchens made it easy to prepare meals, and several different areas to spread out and converse created favorite family memories.Fourth, the location was close to downtown Oceanside and Carlsbad. We walked, as a family, to Vigilante Coffee almost everyday. We tried other coffee shops, but it turned out to be our favorite. We drove several days to Tamarack Beach and parked within a block of the beach. This made for an easy walk to set up the many umbrellas, chairs, toys, and towels provided by our hosts.Finally, our hosts were excellent at communicating before, during, and after our stay. If we had a question, they responded very timely. No doubt, if we needed anything, it would have been taken care of pronto.**Activities: Road biking, pickleball, local theatre production, visiting bunnies at Grange Garden-Solana Beach, visiting Point Loma/San Diego, hiking, & ice-cream at Little Fox Cups & Cones.

Talk about a top-notch vacation home? Wow! Casa de Kona took me back to my love of the Hawaiian Islands with its totally awesome vibe! This Villa is spectacular!I especially love how Debby and Mike contacted us before our trip out here to give us a heads up on a fence problem and wanted OUR ok to have someone come in and fix it between the hours of 9-2 during our stay. This I really appreciated and of course there was no problem at all.Did I mention that this Villa is spectacular? Why yes, I did!!!This resort home very clean and is the best stocked place we've ever visited. Debby & Mike really took it to the next level.Ladies & Gentleman... We have more to say so stay tuned. This is only day two. To be continued...Day 6 and here's the rest of the review.We had everything from pots and pans to bbq grill necessities to a game room with lots of toys any kid would love to play with to shooting hoops and a huge connect 4 games in the back yard. There were also plenty of beach towels, beach toys, beach chairs and umbrellas. The patio was laid out exactly like the pictures with lots of seating, umbrellas and fire tables to sit and enjoy.The beds were amazing and all 12 of us slept very well!We absolutely had a wonderful time and will be recommending Casa de Kona to our friends and family looking for a nice beach getaway. We look forward to renting from them again.

Both of these homes were fully stocked with supplies and necessities such as toiletries, paper goods, beach toys, chairs, towels, and wagon. There were games and books and even complimentary snacks and slippers complete with a welcome note and treat. Mike and Debby, the host, thought of everything to make our stay so enjoyable. We loved our time there and plan on going again.
