I had already checked in the previous day. So all the necessary 'stuff' was done - I only had to move rooms. Front desk was exceptional, no drama or shenanigans - within a few minutes I simply moved next door to 1610 after being shown my room that i'd stay in for the long stay (14 nights) by a very efficient member of staff. Note the room number, the views were exceptional the room was perfect so I can only assume - all rooms ending in xx10 would offer the same. I've already stated a few TLC efforts would benefit the hotel, cosmetic upgrades that could only enhance esapecially the showers. Breakfast, was adequate, it will feed you, it will not excite you. For the adventurous traveller, i'd skip it, it's more designed for short stay, 1 stop convenience. I'd say the same for dining in - they could do so much better, so at the time of writing, just don't, my prawns were good, staff experience wasn't. Breakfast was fair, not memorable, the main cook with hat took pride in his displays photographing it every day, possibly not for the food, more for his presentation - it could be so much better. Short walks from the Hotel would have taken you to real early morning breakfast experiences, Shanghai style. Room comfort at *level was excellent, bed was so comfy, with no surprises, bedding of high quality, pure cotton, high thread count. The daily servicing 5* excellence, always with a smile, never with query. Talking in truncated Traditional Chinese, my room service was 5*+. All in all i'd book again in a heart beat. As is with all travellers, check out the hotel, area, distances to reach destinations and i'd say - this hotel ticks all the positive boxes. I actually do recommend ... everything you want to see in a short stay, is within short walking distance.
Breakfast was bland, as said previously it was adequate, but bland. I'm sure within budget restraints and a good main cook, it could be so much better. Highlight of food, tinned fruits & yoghurt. My main disappointment was the use of bought in product rather than inhouse preperation. I'm probably being unfair to the 'cook' but the give away was watching 'packets' being prepped in full view. Rooms excellent, staff too, food 2/5 - even with budget constraints the food could be so much better

The room was a lot bigger than expected. So much room it was fantastic.
Breakfast could have a bit more variation and options for the fresh noodles that are cooked on request.
