All staff members were very friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome. The location was very good! The room was clean amd comfortable, apart from the humming sound that was pretty loud.
We didn’t like the interior design: the lobby was decorated with pictures and artefacts from the colonial era, and stories of all the Portugiese “discoveries”, and it turned out all the rooms were named after a former Portuguese colony: we felt very awkward seeing this: it’s 2026, and you would expect more awareness when it comes to this part of history.
We stayed in a room on the backside, first floor: no daylight to speak of, and we were bothered by an annoying hum of machinery right outside our room. Maybe pick another room, if you can.

Location excellent. Small boutique hotel. Very clean and rooms nicely decorated. Bathroom excellent - good shower. Exceptionally good staff - very pleasant and helpful. (We did not use breakfast service).
No issues - met/exceeded all expectations.

The location was great, so convenient. Even though it’s on a busy tram street - it was quiet at night. Having a small balcony was great for getting fresh air. I also liked the fact it was a Boutique hotel and acknowledges the impact of Portugal’s colonisation policies. Having only 14 rooms, I got to know the staff in a week. The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.
Could have had a small fridge in the room.
