Do not book with this company

From the start my experience was difficult. I have used booking.com for a number of years and have never had to pay a deposit. This company, called Iconic demanded my card details to insure i would pay for any damages. If I refused to pay then Icinic were cancelling the booking, which meant I would have been left in London without accommodation I would have lost the £420 i had already spent for the 3 nights, as they do not refund cancellations. I felt like they had me over a barrel. In the end i I reported my concerns to both Iconic and booking.com. i found the representative that i spoke to at booking.com to be rude and particularly unhelpful. I was assured by Iconic that no money would leave my account unless there were damages to the apartment, which there were not. They have taken £254.05 from my credit card account without my knowledge or authorisation When I arrived a the apartment I had no keys and no one met me, it was in a really busy, dirty street in Deptford even though the advert is for an apartment in Greenwich. I contacted Iconic a numerous of times, and the situation became very stressful. It took nearly an hour to locate the keys. Which I had to get from a shop about half a mile from the apartment. I was only able to get these after some very difficult conversations and a number of failed attempts to send me the accurate information. Once I accessed the keys, I walked the half a mile back to be called by Iconic to say she had sent me the code for the wrong key. I therefore had to return to the shop to change the key. During these stressful conversations, I was told to compensate for the difficult day that I would not have to pay for my dog. I also asked a number of times for them to organise parking, as it was advertised on booking.com at £15 per night. This was never sorted and I have now received a very expensive parking fine My stay was until the 4th of September and I am still awaiting the return on my £254.05.

It was not comfortable mentally.

Dislikes: The sofa was sooo stained that we did not sit on it. Curtains were raggedy. Only 2 fans for the entire apartment. Wet clothes were in the washing machine. Cigarette butts had been on the balcony for a while. Outside of the building did not look as nice as the picture that advertised it. Sheets looked and felt questionable . Apartment actually had a different name which made it hard to find. Pull out sofa did not recline.

LIKES: Bathrooms were modern. Nice kitchen with fridge. Had a smart Tv, good neighborhood in walking distance to train station.
