Art House Hotel and Suites

Clean. Good staff. Ok breakfast

Convenient location close to nearby restaurants. Room was clean, had a fridge but no microwave. Air conditioning worked well. The toilet seat lid wouldn't stay up, you had to hold it in place or sit down. We browsed the complimentary breakfast but didn't have time to try it, it seemed fairly basic with coffee / juice / yogurt / bread products. Walls were a little thin, we could hear our neighbor sneezing. Parking garage was full but we were able to find street parking on the same block. Caution that street parking is paid Mon-Sat, Sunday is free, but parking is limited to 4 hour blocks and you're supposed to move your car. Overall a decent stay with a few minor rough edges.

Can’t say enough about the helpful and pleasant staff. After checking in, we kept hearing a beeping noise from the neighboring apartment building, which sounded like a smoke detector needing a new battery. The front desk staff not only notified the building manager, but was also super accommodating in helping us move to a new room. Plus, they were so kind and friendly. I really enjoyed interacting with them, which made our stay at this otherwise already beautiful location all that much more enjoyable.

We loved staying here! Our room was very large with a kitchenette, a seating area with a love seat and sofa too. The bathroom was a nice size. My daughter was on a business trip and I was lucky enough to tag along. We stayed at six different locations in seven nights. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The pillows here were the most comfortable of any of the places we stayed and many were very high end. The location can't be beat. There is a lot going to in the area and you don't need to move your car once you get here. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops too. There is a beautiful department store just a few blocks away that has been in the area for decades and not to be missed. We loved the huge Barnes and Noble on the main street too. It was wonderful to be in a bookstore again. There is a nice breakfast room with a included light breakfast. Tip: Make a reservation to park your car in the attached packing lot. It makes things a bit easier although there is street parking. If you do park on the street be sure to watch the meter if there is one. We want to give a big shout out to Ruth and Marilyn who were so kind and helpful with orienting us to the area and making our check-in and check-out so easy.
