Clean and close to the Paris action, but lacking in comfort
-Great location only a couple of blocks from the metro station that services much of the tourist area of downtown Paris.
-clean
-Several shops and restaurants right outside the door.
-There is a nice living room with a separate bedroom.
-Good water pressure in the shower
-The kitchen has a stove, water, espresso maker, and toaster oven.
-There is a washing machine as well, but you would need to bring your own detergent
Some have mentioned key access difficulties. For us, we had to visit a small shop a block away from the apartment, show the clerk a code and we were given a key. It was pretty easy, and the instructions were clear. There was an electronic tag that you tapped for the front door and interior door to open. Lastly, the photos of the apartment show a red arched door. As of Aug 2026 the door is NOT red, but in the process of being painted. There isn’t a house number at the moment either.
Overall it’s a decent place, but there are a couple amenities that keep it from being higher rated. We booked three nights, but relocated after the 2nd night for a couple reasons. 1) I was pickpocketed on a crowded bus and wanted out of the city center. 2) the heat wave in Paris made the space uncomfortable to stay in. I’ll just list a few specifics so future bookers can be aware:
-The apartment is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. If you struggle with stairs while hauling luggage you should be aware.
- because it’s on the third floor it is HOT. We knew the was no a/c and the weather isn’t controlled by the owner, but when it’s 100F/40c outside there needs to be some way to ventilate the space. There were two small desk fans. That’s it. I have a thermometer on my bag and I’m not sure it ever got cooler than 87 in the room.
- the temp issue was made more uncomfortable by the ongoing construction, which I was made aware of a week before our stay. As of August 2026 there is construction scaffolding and plastic over the front of the building, which restricts airflow when windows are open. That means that the air is damp from the shower and stale from no airflow. It carried a bit of a strange odor, which wasn’t unbearable but it wasn’t pleasant either.
- the toilet room is very small. You need to do a little dance in order to get in and close the door. If you’re older or a larger person this will be challenging. I’m 6’2” and had a hard time.
- as others have noted, it is a low, hand held shower. It works fine, but it’s not a style that an American would be used to.
- the couch might be the most uncomfortable thing I’ve sat on, but my daughter said the fold-out bed was decent. The main bed is firm, but passable.
Ultimately, I found myself wishing I had opted to stay at a hotel a little further from town. The transit may have been worth access to comforts such as not sweating profusely while I sleep.

*Apartment within a building site*
It had good space in the living room/ kitchen area.
The entirety of the block is being renovated and so the apartment is now in a building site. You enter under the scaffolding l on the street. The windows have been scaffolded over and there are workmen walking past on the platforms at 3rd storey height, and can see directly into bedroom windows unless you shut the blinds and have no light. There are no views from the windows into the streets as they are covered in building sheeting. The noise and drilling starts right outside the apartment at 8am until about 5pm. The proprietors did not tell me about the building works until 24 hours before arriving - far too late to find anywhere else. I would avoid unless they can send you a photo proving the scaffolding has gone and the works are complete. Photos show the view from windows.

This is a highly overrated apartment, that needs a total renovation and not a good value for money.
The location was excellent, walking distance to all important sites (except Disneyland and Versailles), generally everything is in 10 km circle. The apartment was well equipped in the kitchen. Also, there were enough toilet paper and soap, although very well hidden in the living room (our younger daughter found it accidentally). There was always a hot water, and a good water pressure in the shower.
But: when you want to wipe the toilet the handle of the toilet brush stays in your hand without the brush; after the shower I just wanted to put the shower handle to its holder on the wall when it got loose and not possible to keep the shower handle anymore; the walls in the shower are totally peeling: the couch in the living room where our daughters slept was extremely worn out, uncomfortable, and when you want to fold up a sofa watch your back, it doesn't go smoothly at all.
We knew that but be aware (especially important for older people) that there is no elevator and that this is a 3rd floor with not the most convenient stairs. You need to pay extra for the cleaning (we stayed for 8 nights and at least one cleaning wasn't included!).
A lot! One of the greatest problems is that you don't see a single person to show you the apartment, give you the hints, and someone that you can complain to and resolve your issues immediately. You have to write over Booking platform or WhatsApp. They do reply (but not always), and you can guess it's much slower than solve the issues on site. We should have collected our key from some shop, but it wasn't there. After early flight, almost no sleep and no possibility to enter the apartment before 3PM, we were definitely not happy. Then I had to call them, they checked what happened. The cleaning lady didn't leave it in this shop, but in the small lock box on the bicycle. On that square there were a lot of bicycles. After some struggle we managed to get our key, but that was just a beginning.
Seven days before our arrival we got a message that there are some works in our building and that there will be a bit more noise than usual. What we found on site are the construction works (and obviously workers) right in front both of our windows! We were furious! We had literally no view from our windows looking at the very nice street and couldn't leave them open because anybody could enter our apartment. Btw, the window in the bad room couldn't be closed (they sent someone to fix it the next day, but the day after the window couldn't be closed again). The apartment was dark, very, very worn out, not looking too clean (especially towels). Add the extremely high price to this and imagine the level of our dissatisfaction. I obviously messaged them, and they replied that they don't have another apartment, but that they offered us a 30% reduction of price. Let's say this was at least a fair move. They refunded it in 2 days, however not 30%, but 110 euros less than 30% was (somehow expected). Netflix worked for the first 2 days, but not the next 6 days (they didn't reply to my message about this).

Tragic!
No answering to questions, no air-condition, renovations on the building, no clean air
