It was so comfortable throughout my whole stay. I almost didn't feel like a hostel. Mostly everyone was social :) the common areas were great. The breakfast and dinner were so authentic and amazingggg. I am grateful they offer laundry services.

Villa Layla is a characterful retreat in downtown Cairo, set in a historic mansion with old-world charm and bohemian spirit. Its central location is perfect for exploring the city, while the relaxed, eclectic atmosphere feels like a welcome escape from the bustle. The hostel-style accommodation is full of personality, with tidy shared bathrooms, a welcoming common room, and well-kept kitchens. The bedroom we had was huge, with a comfortable four poster bed, sitting area and generous sized desk. The outlook was into the front yard of trees and shrubs which was a great change to the starkness of the city.
As hostels attract a younger demographic the noise level can get higher in the early hours.

Breakfast is extra, and it's worth it. They have two options: Egyptian-style breakfast and American breakfast, both very tasty and fresh.
They could improve cleanliness in the bathroom and shower area
