Rooms were nicely appointed, beds comfortable, very good bathroom, shower. Second floor had all night Starbucks coffee next to a very nice patio, outdoor section - very relaxing. Dinner selection was very good and reasonably priced with coupon. Staff was excellent, making it a great stay for all of us.
Not the fault of the Beau, but its location bordered on a lot of "seediness" in the area, with homeless and addicts just outside. This, however, with homeless and drug encampments seen in virtually all parts of San Diego, reduces San Diego as an attractive location for travelers generally. It is not good for the homeless, the locals, nor travelers, for city and state officials to continue to let this situation persist in San Diego, otherwise a beautiful city.

Immaculate clean

The hotel was lovely and staff were very good and friendly. The breakfast was lovely the location was excellent. It is a noisy area at weekends but I slept well.
It is a new hotel updated in an old building. It is very lovely but there is a window fan rather than full air con. This was fine by me but I think Americans are used to air con.

Bar and restaurant
Room was tiny. No drawers just a thin console table. No lift. No safe in the room. Air con was a unit through the window which was noisy. Never had ear plugs given in a hotel which tells you about the noise.
