⭐ 1/10 – The most frightening accommodation experience we have ever had. I booked this apartment for my daughter and her friend during their stay in Milan. Out of six nights, one turned into a nightmare. At around 9:00 p.m., the host sent only an email informing guests that the building access system was not working. There was no phone call, no emergency solution, and no assistance. The girls were at a concert and returned late that evening, only to discover that they could not enter the apartment. They spent the entire night outside, repeatedly calling the host for help. No one answered the phone and nobody offered any support or alternative accommodation. They were left sitting outside until 9:00 a.m., frightened, exhausted, hungry, thirsty, with no access to a toilet or a safe place to rest. As parents, we spent the entire night terrified, not knowing where our children were or whether they were safe. To make matters worse, they were supposed to check out at 10:00 a.m. that same morning. The host finally responded at 9:00 a.m. and simply stated that their working hours begin at 9:00 a.m. This is completely unacceptable when guests are locked out overnight. Despite everything that happened, the host refused to provide any financial compensation. A late check-out was offered, but after spending an entire night outside, this was not a meaningful solution. Another important issue is that the apartment is located in a basement, which was not clearly disclosed in the listing. We believe future guests should be informed about this before making a reservation. We have asked Booking.com to investigate this case because no guest should ever be left outside all night without assistance. We hope no other family has to experience what ours went through. We cannot recommend this accommodation.

Misleading listing, poor hygiene, and unacceptable handling

The apartment did not match the listing. Upon arrival, there was visible mold around the windows and walls, which was not disclosed in the photos or description. There were also hygiene issues, including hair on the mattress and signs of poor cleaning, as well as insects in the apartment. Due to these conditions, I was unable to stay and left shortly after check-in. Communication with the host was very poor. Despite contacting them immediately (via Booking and later WhatsApp, with photos), they delayed responses and did not offer a reasonable solution. Booking.com also attempted to assist, but the host did not cooperate. They eventually offered only a small partial refund (€70), which does not reflect the fact that the accommodation was not usable. Additionally, the property charges a €50 “late check-in” fee, despite the check-in being fully self-service and digital, which appears unjustified. I also found it concerning that guests are encouraged to leave positive reviews before their stay in exchange for perks (e.g. free late check-in), with guidance on what to write. Overall, this experience was disappointing and not in line with what was advertised.

mold, noise, and misleading description. Avoid

The listing described the area as a “trendy neighborhood,” but in reality, not feel trendy at all. The description was misleading. You can hear the tram running Above you every time it passes.

The biggest issue was that the apartment was located in a basement, which was not mentioned in the listing. The lack of natural light made the space feel dark, oppressive, and uncomfortable, especially when returning at night. There was mold on the walls, which is a serious health hazard. The bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t close properly due to humidity damage. Upon arrival, the floor was dirty, showing a clear lack of maintenance. The noise level was unbearable, as the window had no proper insulation, making it impossible to sleep due to the tram passing right outside and constant street noise. On top of that, there were no curtains or blinds, so we were woken up every morning by the sunlight. This place is nowhere near the quality expected from a Booking.com listing and should not be advertised as it is.

Buona posizione sia per raggiungere il centro che per arrivare ai punti di ritrovo per le escursioni, molti servizi in zona. La camera molto pulita, nuova, letto comodissimo e un piccolo terrazzo molto utile.

Guanciali troppo morbidi, forse sarebbe meglio fossero due morbidi e due leggermente più corposi. In camera è presente un bollitore, consiglierei anche una macchina per il caffè dato che non ci sono fornelli in cucina.
