Nice, quiet hotel in the centre of Kyoto and only a short walk to Karasuma Oike station.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of good food options nearby. Our room was small but well planned, so perfectly fine for a 3-4 night stay.
Would be good to be able to lower the air con temperature for warm nights.

Great location and nice rooms.

Excellent. The option for Japanese-type and western food was great.

The staff and the public baths facing the traditional garden were great.
Unfortunately, there were a few things that made this hotel not so comfortable. They only provide two pillows with beanbag bottoms. The room itself was yellow from age, and privacy screens on the balcony blocked any view and light. The TV's in the bedroom don't allow for streaming services, so they're useless to a foreigner who can't speak Japanese. The breakfast is also very expensive, and although it looks amazing, the salmon was slimy and full of bones and the eggs were too runny. It was mostly microwaved cheap stuff. The coffee was really good, but not free. (Comes with the breakfast)
I stayed at 3 hotels during my trip. This hotel was the most expensive and least enjoyable.
